The Department of Agriculture is spearheading a comprehensive transformation of the country’s agri-food system. Guided by the Masaganang Bagong Pilipinas agenda, this transformation seeks to secure the nation’s food supply, uplift farmer and fisherfolk livelihoods, and modernize production through expanded agri-fishery zones, mechanization, post-harvest and logistics upgrades, digitalization, and strengthened partnerships with local governments and the private sector.
The 2025 National Agri-fishery Investment Forum provides a platform to align these efforts into a unified process. It will:
Present the current agri-food system status and investment outlook;
Share the Department’s four-year investment plan and financing mechanisms;
Facilitate discussions on provincial commodity investment priorities; and
Generate support and complementation from government units, agencies, and partners.
The Forum aims to:
Identify key commodities prioritized by Provincial Governors and local legislative agriculture committees.
Determine priority value chain segments within these commodities that require targeted funding or interventions.
Generate an indicative list of investment-ready interventions supported by local leaders and the Department.
Formalize expressions of support through signed commitment documents or declarations.
This Forum affirms the Department’s commitment to transform strategic planning into concrete, coordinated investments to pave the way for a modern, resilient, and inclusive agri-fisheries sector..
